Ekonomikommentarer tog för några dagar sen upp ett tal av president Roosevelt från 30-talet. Så skulle jag vilja höra en amerikansk president tala nu! Han talar om frihet, om kampen tidigare i historien att göra sig fri från ett styre av en priviligierad oavsättlig elit, men att det istället kommit att uppstå en ny ekonomisk kungamakt utanför demokratins räckvidd.
Det jag läser in i det han säger är en attack mot kärnan av det system som fortfarande har makten inte bara i USA, det som ger denna oavsättliga kungaätt makten, nämligen bankernas rätt att ha kontroll över penningutgivningen.

Man missar målet om man bara pratar allmänt om kapitalismen, det gynnar mest den egentliga makthavaren om vi håller på att bråka om höger eller vänster inne i den bur vi är uppväxta i och nu tror är verkligheten.

Det är inte så att de driftigaste, vissa säger girigaste, i en fri värld med fri konkurrens på ett juste sätt kämpat till sig makten och inflytandet. Utan spelet är riggat på ett ojuste sätt, de som sitter på den egentliga makten spelar med dolda kort, döljer sig bakom kulisserna och visar sig aldrig i dagsljus.

Är det så att jag en gång till hör någon börja svamla om Sovjet så fort man kritiserar det system vi har nu så kommer jag att ... att.. slå vederbörande med en gymnastiksko!

Frihet, demokrati och en sund marknadsekonomi är något vi inte haft på länge om ens någonsin.
Vi måste dra ut gifttaggen ur samhällskroppen innan en läkning och tillfriskning kan ske.

Finns det ingen nu som har samma insikt och vilja till verklig förändring som Roosevelt hade? Jo, i USA finns Dennis Kucinich tidigare presidentkandidat som har förslag om penningreform, likaså presidentkandidaterna Ron Paul och Cynthia McKinney. Andra är David Korten, Michael Hudson, Richard C Cook och Stephen Zarlenga m.fl I Canada finns Canadian Action Party, i England Money Reform Party och Sustainable Economics, på Nya Zeeland Democrats for Social Credit o.s.v
Nu är det dags att vi vaknar i Sverige också.

They granted that the government could protect the citizen in his right to vote, but they denied that the government could do anything to protect the citizen in his right to work and his right to live.
Today we stand committed to the proposition that freedom is no half-and-half affair. If the average citizen is guaranteed equal opportunity in the polling place, he must have equal opportunity in the market place.
These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power. Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow of this kind of power. In vain they seek to hide behind the flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the flag and the Constitution stand for. Now, as always, they stand for democracy, not tyranny; for freedom, not subjection; and against a dictatorship by mob rule and the over-privileged alike.
