"..the World Bank and IMF are just extensions of the US treasury, there is no positive role they can possibly play. The IMF now has only one client left in the entire world, I think that was Turkey, which even may have repaid it's debt by now. Nobody want's to go near it, it's a poisonous organisation, run by a dysfunctional creditor oriented pro-american financial philosophy that everybody in the Third World, Asia, Europe is avoiding like a plague.

Both of these organisations have played a very destructive role in third world countries, haven't they?

And in Russia and the post-Soviet countries. The World Bank puts Latvia and the Baltic states at the top of it's business-friendly countries, these are countries who's economies are falling apart now. They have such an anti-labor policy that there has been an emigration of skilled labor, I think one third of Latvian men between the age of 25 and 35 have told pollsters that they are trying to emigrate within the next ten years. These are the most destructive economies possible and if you want to see the ideal of the Word Bank and the ideal of the IMF you look at the Russian, Latvian and Estonian economies which have shrunk as if there were a war on. And there is of course a war on, it's a class war and a war of the American finance agains the rest of the world....
...
Do you think they want a Depression?

No, they’d love to have a thriving economy in which they could continue to make money and siphon off a free lunch for themselves. This is their dream, the guiding fiction of the "miracle of compound interest." The problem is that the financial sector doesn’t want to do anything that doesn’t serve its own short-term interest."
